Nizamabad Constituency & ECI,CEO set a Records


Nizamabad Parliamentary Constituency, Telangana State, has created a new record as highest number of candidates in recent Parliament General Elections. As well as, The Election Commission of India (ECI), The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Telangana State created another record by the way of ’Successfully organising Elections in Nizamabad Constituency.

First-of-its-Kind in the history of India, 175 Farmers/Candidates contesting for Member of Parliament, Nizamabad constituency as independent candidates not as candidates from any political party or their support in this General Elections on April 11th-2019.Total candidates-185 (186 with NOTA button).The 185 candidates necessitated 12 Ballot Units in all 1,788 polling stations and additional VVPATS in polling stations with more than 1,200 electors. The total electorate of the constituency is about 25 Lakhs. 25,000 Ballot Units (Including Braille for visually challenged Voters), 2,000 Control Units and 2,0000 VVPATS was completed involving 600 Engineers and 2,000 personnel in a short time span of 3 days using 15 halls with 149 tables and Phenomenally low failure rate of 0.27% for BUs, 0.67% for CUs and 1.62% for VVPATS for actual poll. Moreover M-3 EVMs used in this constituency(first of-its-kind in Indian Elections).

Most Satellites launched from single Rocket

The World Record of ‘most satellites launched from single rocket’ has been achieved by Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C37) at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, India.

On Feb 15, 2017; rocket launched by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) lifted off successfully with One Hundred Four (104) satellites and successfully placed into orbit. Out of the total 104 satellites 3 belonged to India, 96 from the USA and one each from Israel, the UAE, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Kazakhstan. The total weight of all the 104 satellites carried on-board PSLV-C37 was 1378 kg.
